Nuno Dionisio

Technical Lead

Nuno joined Puritas in December 2016 as a Project Manager and Technical Lead.

After completing his school education at De La Salle College in Jersey, Nuno continued at the University of East Anglia to complete a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. Whilst undertaking his Ph.D. research, Nuno also lectured at the University of East Anglia in Software Development Techniques, Advanced Object Oriented Software Development, Functional and Mathematical Programming and in Artificial Intelligence.

Nuno went on to work for the Autonomy group, where he headed their newly acquired Speech Recognition and Video Indexing company called Virage. Travelling between Cambridge, San Francisco and New York, Nuno lead a development team spread across locations, lead sales discussions with future customers including amongst other the NBC, BBC, NBA, the Dubai Police and the Open University, and ensuring that the business had a future roadmap to expand its commercial offerings.

Returning to Jersey in 2005, Nuno has focussed his commercial experience in the Finance and the Intellectual Property industries as a Project Manager and Technical Lead. He has spent time working for customers within the island, and in jurisdictions including the UK, Switzerland and the Cayman Islands in projects ranging from system integrations, business transformations and divestments. Nuno makes use of his technical background and strong inter-personal skills to lead teams to deliver first class solutions, and is well versed in leading project meetings with stakeholders and managing client expectations.

Nuno’s non-professional activities include fitness classes for which he always makes time, martial arts, film, music, home automation and maintaining bonsai trees. He also enjoys travelling to countries where he is able to practice the languages he speaks, although over the last few years he admits most travel has been as a result of business.
